Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) are responsible for some of the most technically and environmentally advanced buildings and spaces in the world. They are focused on the challenge to decarbonize the built environment, reduce emissions, and address the impacts of climate change. SOM has joined through the Net Zero Carbon Buildings pathway, committing to only occupying assets under direct control operating at net zero carbon by 2030.

SSE is an energy company based in Scotland and had committed to double energy productivity by 2030 relative to a 2010 baseline. To achieve this goal, SSE has already invested US$15.4 million on energy efficiency measures in its buildings and depots, leading to annual operational savings of at least US$3.7 million which go back into the projects. These include increased digitalization and transitioning to cloud-based computing, which has already seen energy use at SSE’s data centre sites drop by 22% between 2016 and 2019.

Stanhope is a developer and professional services company providing management and advice to investors and owner-occupiers. This includes the origination, design and delivery of construction projects, some of which Stanhope goes on to manage as assets. Stanhope is focused on creating sustainable places and working collaboratively with their partners.

Stockland is an Australian Property Developer and a global leader in sustainability, having been the only CDP A-Listed Australian company in 2017. Stockland signed up two of its divisions – Stockland Retirement Living and Stockland Logistics – to EP100 through the Net Zero Carbon Buildings pathway. To meet this target, Stockland plans to extend its existing rooftop solar program on its retail town centre portfolio to implement a leading logistics warehouse rooftop solar program.

As a key high-tech enterprise in China, Sungrow specializes in R&D, production, sales and services of new energy equipment, such as solar energy, wind energy, energy storage, electric vehicles, mainly provides photovoltaic inverters, wind energy converters, energy storage system, floating PV system, new energy automotive driving system, EV charging station, hydrogen energy, smart operation and maintenance, and commits itself to providing first-class life cycle solutions of clean energy. This company commits to implement an energy management system (EnMS) across all operations by 2028, and improve energy productivity by 35% by 2028, relative to a 2018 baseline.

Surbana Jurong is a consultancy company that focuses on infrastructure and urban development. The company designs and delivers quality built environment and infrastructure projects for clients, and is redefining cities and transforming them into sustainable and liveable spaces where communities and businesses can thrive. Suburba Jurong joined through the Net Zero Carbon Buildings pathway, committing to occupying only assets that are net zero carbon by 2030. 

Swaraj Engines Ltd is an Indian manufacturer and supplier of diesel engines and is part of the Mahindra Group conglomerate. The company has committed to double its energy productivity by 2040 compared to a 2014-2015 baseline. Swaraj Engines Ltd has several energy efficiency projects underway, including the installation of LED lighting, light tunnels to capture daylight, waste heat recovery, cooling, and the replacement of old power cables.

Taiwan Cement Corporation (TCC) is a green environmental engineering company which has three core aspects to its business; resource recycling, green energy and low carbon cement. The environment, energy and ecology serve as the three major pillars for future sustainable development. TCC has two sustainability commitments: total climate commitment and total care commitment for the mutual benefit and harmony with Earth and life. The company commits to implement an energy management system (EnMS) across all operations by 2021, and improve energy productivity by 50% by 2040 relative to a 2016 baseline year.

TCI Co., Ltd is a manufacturer of dietary supplements, functional drinks, and skin care products. The company has committed to implement an energy management system (EnMS) across all operations by 2026, and improve energy productivity by  35% by 2040, relative to a 2016 baseline. TCI will install new equipment in its Pingtung factories to improve energy productivity, including acquiring ISO50001 certified energy management systems. The company will also install LED lighting in its headquarters and will actively work to roll out smarter energy use in its supply chain.

Their strategy sets out the approach to managing each business area, to create value for, and respond to the needs of, customers, stakeholders, environment and society. They are committed to addressing the climate emergency by aligning to the 1.5°C goal of the Paris Agreement.
