As one of the world’s largest emitters, the United States has always been one of the most influential countries in our fight against climate change. COP26 represents both a challenge and an opportunity for America to take the lead in averting global warming.
President Biden will mark 100 days in office by holding The Leaders' Summit on Climate with national leadership from around the world on Earth Day, April 22. The Climate Group is bringing together leaders from business, government and the climate community on this date to ask: “Can the US take the lead in averting climate catastrophe?”
Taking place as the US reveals its NDC commitment, this event will provide an opportunity for business and government leaders to explore their role in supporting the change needed to meet that goal. It will also highlight the important work that has already been done at a subnational level, as well as the global impact of this new chapter in climate diplomacy.
