This is the third episode of the Dialogue Series anchored by Climate Group. The Series is part of the electrification of medium and heavy-duty vehicles (e-MHDV) in India initiative developed in partnership with pManifold Business Solutions. This episode seeks to engage supply-side manufacturers and demand-side logistics service providers from the trucking industry to evaluate the current situation of India's zero emission medium and heavy-duty trucks (MHDT), along with different supply chain dynamics, opportunities, and barriers.
The aim of the e-MHDV initiative is to encourage the adoption of electric trucks in the Indian industry. To do this, we're curating a series of discussions, convening the industry, end users and freight companies on the same platform, to develop proof points and beachhead strategies for the transition in the sector.
The first episode of the Dialogue Series held in April examined global learnings from the medium and heavy-trucking sector and the opportunities in India. The second episode spotlighted prioritised use cases that can potentially be electrified in the MHDT space and explored technical and operational aspects that would define the transition.
